After Prom

GHS PROM INFORMATION - April 15, 2023

Dear Junior and Senior Families,

The 2023 ILC prom group will be attending dinner, prom and after prom on April 15, 2023. Teachers and staff volunteer each year to help create a safe and memorable night for our students. Your student may choose to attend part(s) or all of the events. Please read all of the information carefully and let us know your plan by 4/7/23.

Dinner: Blake Street Tavern (Blake St, Ste 200, Denver, CO 80205)

The night will begin at Blake Street Tavern at 6:00pm. Parents are welcome to coordinate arriving early for pictures before enjoying some time away while students enjoy dinner under the supervision of ILC staff. At this time, the ILC is not able to accommodate guests or dates. Your student is welcome to attend the dance with another group if they would like to bring a date.

Dance: Asterisk Denver (1075 Park Ave W, Denver, CO 80205)

Following dinner, our plan is to walk to the prom venue. It is a 7 minute (0.3 miles) walk. If you do not want your student to walk, please pick them up by 7:50pm to travel to the venue. ILC staff will meet students at the main entrance to the dance at 8:00 pm. Students need to be picked up from the dance by 11:00pm.

After Prom: Boondocks Parker (18706 Cottonwood Dr, Parker, CO 80138).

Following the completion of the dance, After Prom is located at Boondocks. If your student chooses to go home after the dance and not attend After Prom, parents/guardians can meet at the entrance Asterisk Denver, to pick up their student. Although After Prom ends at 2:00 AM, ILC STAFF WILL ONLY CHAPERONE UNTIL 1:00 AM.  We recognize that many students may not want to stay the entire time for After Prom, so please make a plan with your student and your student’s case manager if your student wants to leave earlier.

Formal attire is required for dinner and the dance. Your student may choose to bring a change of clothes for after prom, but staff will NOT be able to assist in changing or keeping track of belongings and clothing.

PROM AND AFTER PROM TICKETS ARE ONLY SOLD ONLINE THROUGH THE GHS WEBSITE

Cost Breakdown:

• Dinner: approx $20 - $30(please remember to include tip) Bring to dinner. Do NOT send in early.
• Prom tickets: $45 with paid activity fee, $50 without activity fee, guest tickets are always $50. No prom tickets will be sold at the door!!  Tickets go on sale from April 9th to April 15th ONLINE PURCHASE ONLY
  • Reduced priced tickets may be available for purchase at school upon request if your student receives free/reduced lunch. You will need to provide the program approval letter
